The Import Assistant supports the import operations of the company by ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, coordinating documentation, and facilitating the timely and accurate importation of raw materials, supplies, and equipment required for agroindustrial operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient supply chain processes and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in coordinating import operations, including shipment tracking, documentation preparation, and customs clearance processes.

2. Prepare, review, and maintain import documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and phytosanitary permits.

3. Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.

4. Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations, customs laws, and agroindustry-specific requirements.

5. Maintain accurate import records, reports, and databases to support audits and internal controls.

Required Qualifications 

1. Bachelor’s degree or technical studies in International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

2. Previous experience in import operations, preferably within the agroindustrial or food production sector.

3. Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written) – mandatory.

4. Knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and international logistics processes.

5. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under deadlines.
